Tips for Success:
1) Start to populate a tea bar at home.
2) Prep ahead! Precut garnishes, display herbs and teas in labeled glass jars, make simple syrup.
3) Keep elegant glassware on hand for tea cocktails.

How To Make Tea Syrup Using Honey Not Sugar:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 4 tablespoons black tea or green tea, loose leaf only
  • 2/3 cup honey (could also use maple syrup; best to source a local honey)

Instructions:

  1. Heat water until steaming (not boiling) to preserve honey’s enzymes.
  2. Steep the tea for 8 minutes, then strain. Will be extra strong.
  3. Stir in honey until fully dissolved.
  4. Cool and store in a clean bottle in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

To make a simple honey syrup to replace simple syrup with sugar, use the above recipe without tea or infuse with any herb of choice.
